Location top notch, excellent budget option
Top location! Right in the heart of Nimes. Perfect for going back to have a rest from site seeing, before heading out to dinner. Solo woman great safety.
Stairs, they are very steep. Anyone with disabilities be mindful booking this, my current mobility was okay to meet this challenge but left me out of breath each time.

Well-located budget lodging for a quick overnight stay
This was the second time I booked this hotel. The first time was at the end of March when I got caught in between the German transit strike and the French general strike. Instead of traveling from Berlin to Nimes, I was only able to make it to Strasbourg. I explained the situation to the Hotel Concorde and they were kind enough to cancel my reservation at no charge, despite having only a few hours notice. This time I was able to make it, although after yet another problem with the Deutsche Bahn, it was very late. So I was grateful for the short distance from the train station. Also happy that I could store my suitcase for hours the next morning.
This is a budget accommodation on a relatively quiet street. The noise wasn't too bad by around midnight -- no one disturbed my sleep. At around 7 AM there was some very noisy machine, probably sanitation. And when the shops opened up, the street came alive. The windows are old-fashioned (un-insulated, so no noise mitigation) with wooden shutters which were nice to block out daylight. I think the hotel overall is probably quite old, the stairway is rather tight to navigate. Better for people who travel light, big suitcases would be a problem. Ratio of toilet rooms to guest rooms was fine. Tiny in-room sink was almost too small to be practical but having a shower in the room was great, made everything feel even more sanitary.
